Lucien Lelong Sleeveless Dance Dress. Lucien Lelong (French, 1889-1958). Under garment: Taupe chiffon v-shaped inserts to front and back of bodice and to underarms, sewn to lightweight black silk jersey sheath. The whole covered with a mesh made of small square pailletes or sequins sewn in squares, and cut as a tunic, dropping from shoulders to lower waist, and another curtain of the pailletes from waist to hem. Self sash to left side. Label to interior: Modele Depose LUCiEN / LELONG / 16, RUE MATIGNON / PARIS MADE IN FRANCE. Paris, France. Circa 1928. {Approximate dimensions: 36 1/2" Bust, 33" Dropped Waist ,41 1/2" L.}. Provenance: Sale of items to benefit the Monterey History and Art Association. This non-profit association has been a guiding force in preserving Monterey’s history since the founding of the association in 1931. Chinese Monumental Cloisonné Jar. Of compressed gloubal shape with rounded mouth rim, the exterior wall decorated with panal of archaistic bronze objects amongst scrolling lotus flowers,flanked by a pair of bird to the shoulders, all between decorative borders and against a turquoise ground.

Renaissance Revival Mahogany Marquetry Inlaid Bed. The carved headboard and footboard with marquetry panels and banded inlay, the two-piece base with continued inlay, resting on round turned feet. Second half 19th century. {Approximate dimensions: 76 1/2 high x 67 wide x 86 inches long.}. Condition: Overall wear is good considering age, with some surface wear throughout and minor chips to edges. Headboard with one hole for vacant finial, the opposite side with no hole. Subtle repaired crack to crest on crown. Chip to carving on headboard reverse.
