Wiinblad for Rosenthal Porcelain Partial Service

Designed by Bjorn Wiinblad (Danish, 1918 - 2006). The Zauberflote pattern with faces molded in low relief with scenes from Mozarts Opera, in bisque and in glaze gold, with the lyrics to the scenes depicted printed in calligraphic manner to the glazed white porcelain undersides. Comprising four dinner plates 11 1/4 Diameter, eight gilt and white luncheon or salad plates, 8 3/8 Diameter, eight plain cups, 2 5/8 H. x 4 1/8 W. x 3 D., and eight gilt and white saucers, 5/8 H. x 6 1/8 Diameter.
Gold transfer-printed script Rosenthal, crossed batons, under cross, over GERMANY to underside of each plate, with Die Zauberflote and facsimile signature. The simple factory mark to other items.
Condition: Overall condition is very good, and the plates appear not to have been used. One of the dinners has sticky residue from a label to center.
