Two Nippon Porcelain Pedestal Vases

Circa 1915-1920.
The first, baluster form, with applied gilt scroll handles from shoulder to body, below waisted neck, above waisted ankle into squared base. Painted with black ground, and with polychrome enamels in reserved cartouches to front and back, with trees by watery rural views, and with off white bands. The second, of straight sided tapering cylindrical form with applied u-shaped handles from the upper body, under waisted neck, double ring to ankle, over round spreading base. Cobalt blue ground ,painted with continuous watery landscapes within shaped cartouches. Both vases with applied gilt scrolls, keys, foliate designs, etc.
The first, with blue printed Nippon Hand Painted marks the second with green printed Nippon Morimura maks.
Approximate dimensions: 13 and 14 1/2 inches H..
Condition: The first in very good condition, with gilding wear to handles. One handle on the second example has been glued back on where it broke off near base, and that area visibly regilt.
