Notes: Unframed. Bio: Joseph St. Amand (born 1925) was a prominent portraitist working in post-war San Francisco. He lived in North Beach in the 50s and 60s, socialized with the Beats, and helped create first generation queer culture in San Francisco. His exhibitions include San Francisco Museum of Art 75th Anniversary show in 1957 California Palace of the Legion of Honor, Winter Invitational 1960-64 Carnegie Institute, 1964. LGBTQ interest.
