Probably Spanish Colonial.
The leather with animals amidst foliate scrolls, the front cover with silvered brass relief decorated mounts including Saint in prayer to the center the interior with later marbled paper lining.
Approximate dimensions: 14 1/2 high x 11 wide..
Condition: Patina, wear, and cracking to leather. The cracking mainly to the spine. Rubbing to silvered brass. Some dark spot stains.
