Raised on an elongated elegant circular foot and tapering outward to a flared rim, this vase is covered with a copper red glaze on the exterior. It is beautifully painted and gilt with scrolling lotus and lingzi motifs. The interior center is decorated with a flowering tree and butterflies in blue and white. It bears a six-character mark in underglaze blue on the interior foot.
Height 4 1/4 inches (10.7 cm).
