Two Framed Reliquaries in Carved Gilt Wood Frames

Continental.
Circa 1880 and later.
The first centering a watercolor on paper of S. JOSEPHUS holding upright the baby Jesus in his arms, surrounded by silver and gilt thread ribbons, in a shadowbox frame the second with an altar shaped silk stuffed ink painted image of a nun with shepherds crook, within sequied, ribbons, floral and faux gem surround, within giltwood shaped frame.
Approximate Measurements: 12 x 10 x 2 1/2 inches, the larger. 8 x 6 x2 1/4 inches, the smaller.
Basically very good condition. The St Joseph: Light smudge to watercolor, upper corner some rough areas and gilt losses to frame. Losses to frame, upper left area light wear and fading.
