Two Chinese Copper-Red Glaze Vases

The first is an unusual Langyao Ritual Jingping form vase, of slender form rising from a spreading foot and surmounted by cylindrical neck set with a carinated ring, white glaze mouth rim, the exterior covered with a deep polished raspberry-red glaze, the unglazed foot ring neatly cut. The concave base bears a six-character apocryphal Kangxi underglaze blue mark, fitted carved rosewood base. The second is a slender amphora-shaped vase within the copper-red glaze, supported by a cylindrical ring, the recessed base bearing a six-character apocryphal Guangxu mark in underglaze blue, with a fitted carved base.
Height of Jingping vase: 7 3/4 inches (19.5 cm).
