Literature: The peacock window appears as the front cover and on several unnumbered pages of Edith Hopps Powells book San Franciscos Heritage in Art Glass (Allentown: Salisbury Press: 1976).
Notes: The panels were installed sometime between 1906 and 1911. The site of Bardellis was Charles Fashion House between 1911-1946 and prior to that an oyster house, name unknown, 1906- 1910. San Franciscos legendary Bardellis Restaurant was at 243 OFarrell Street for fifty years. This suite of windows greeted customers in the fountain area for all of that time. Whereabouts of a larger peacock window placed just inside the front doors unknown.
