The baluster-form vase with two swan-form gilt handles to sides the center with polychrome painted scene of Napoleon mounted on his horse, Marengo, spying on troops, surrounded by other mounted riders. All over flat, square plinth.
Marked to underside: spurious printed blue marks for Sevres, with hand-printed SEVRES underneath and spurious red printed CHATEAU /DES/TUILERIES stamp. To the footrim, in black enamel Made in FRANCE.

1/2 Chip to plinth base, lower left. Upper half of right hand handle broken off in two and reglued. 3 long hairline crack within flared neck, 1 from top, toward the shoulder.
