Depicts the Virgin Mother holding Christ Child, gilt metal oklad, red velvet backing, ebonized shaped shadowbox frame, the frame with photo showing what looks to be the same icon with no oklad.
Illegible hallmarks to oklad bottom edge oklad with Cyrillic script plate to bottom frame reverse with what looks to be white painted catalog number
Approximate dimensions: Icon with oklad 10 1/2 high x 8 7/8 wide, frame 14 3/4 high x 13 wide..
Condition: Oklad with mind bends and dents, mainly to the edges. Small tears from several securing nails. Paint with some distress and likely restoration. Fading to velvet. The frame with some wear including crack to corner. Significant rubbing to gilt on interior.
