Printed in the Vieux Chine pattern, of flowering orange peonies among blue and green foliate, with pink and red flowerheads nearby. Comprising: seventeen dinner plates 10 3/4 Diameter seventeen luncheon plates 7 5/8 Diameter thirteen coffee cups 2 1/4 H. x4 1/2 W. x 3 3/8 D. sixteen saucers 6 1/2 Diameter, three demitasse cups 2 3/8 H. x 3 W. including handles x 2 1/4 D., and two demitasse saucers 4 7/8 Diameter. Total count: 70 items in all.
Green printed Raynaud marks, and in blue, Raynaud marks, distributed by ceralene marks, and a note that the pattern was designed by the Compagnie Francaise des Indes for Marquise de Pompadour in the 18th Century.
Condition: Nine dinner plates in excellent condition, with minimal wear and abrasions. Three others with slightly faded orange hues throughout, as manufactured, and five more with more notable soft orange hues. One luncheon plate with four inch section broken off into two parts and glued back, with hairline in rim. One coffee cup with two shallow rim chips.
