Single cabinet storage with three doors, the doors with hardstone inlay, ormolu mounts throughout. The meuble dappui attributed to Hippolyte-Edme Pretot (1812-1855).
Approximate dimensions: 47 high x 86 3/4 wide x 18 3/4 inches deep..
Condition: Significant wear to the top, the piece with restoration and apparent later construction, minor loss to hardstone and minor loss and lifting to inlaid brass trim. Mounts appear to have been re-gilted.
A pair of meubles dappui, probably designed to bookend this example, were offered in Sothebys Classic Design, November 8, 2022, lot 95 and sold for 25000 pounds.
