Meissen Porcelain Figural Group Emblematic of Earth

Third quarter, 18th Century.
Figures dressed in Rococo style, to the top, a man standing by a tree stump, holding a basket of fruit in his left arm, and presenting flowers to a woman with a basket of flowers on her head, above four figures actively watering, shoveling, spading, and picking flowers painted in polychrome enamels with gilt highlights. On mounded shaped cylindrical base with gilt highlights.
Double underglaze blue mark and with K.H.C mark (for Dresden Royal Confectionary) in maroon enamel.
Approximate dimensions: 11 5/8 H. x 8 W. x 6 1/4 D.
Condition: Various firing cracks and hairlines to base. Left hand of uppermost figure broken off, glued on, and oversprayed professionally. Also, losses to ribbon in his tricorne hat. Loss to plant in planter, held by seated female figure near base. Typical small losses and chips to flowers.
