signed lower right, possibly figures description or name: Pfatzgraf (Count Palantine).
Medieval/Middle Ages with Heraldic family crests and symbols such as Bezants, Boar, Dog, etc. Most likely from German decent.
Surface dust, varnish aging, frame abrasion, discoloration, darkened pigmentation, loss of paint to right edges, abrasion marks throughout, canvas loose, slight hole upper left area on column,
Condition: Verso canvas edges fraying, panel has abrasion marks, and smudges.
Notes: Frame has wear, approximate dimensions - frame: 23 1/2 x 18 inches.
