Louis XV Style Ebonized Brass Inlaid Clock

Circa 1900.
Elaborate scrolling foliate design surrounding glazed doors and sides, the shaped top terminating in a gilt brass inverted pinecone. The round face with gilt brass scrolling motif under inner dial with Roman numerals in blue on white shaped enamel plaques. Outer face incised with five minute markers. The pendulum formed as the sun, pendant over a faux parquet floor. All over four cast cabriole legs with claws.
Black and white enamel shaped plaque below the face, THURET PARIS. Clockworks stamped H F Paris 29 29.
Approximate dimensions: 19 3/8 H. x 9 1/2 W. x 5 1/2 D..
Condition: Patina, some scratches to surfaces, including to area where hasp closes the door to the clockworks. Top section also removable to get to works. Front glazed door does not shut with key. This clock comes with pendulum and two keys. Michaans does not test clocks or other scientific instruments for functionality.
