Bronze, with shank to reverse. The round button with all 13 states initials forming a band, a middle band with the motto, LONG LIVE THE PRESIDENT, around the script initials GW in a ring.
Approximate dimensions: 1 3/8 inches diameter..
Provenance: Property of a private collector. Lot ships with a letter signed by Edmund D. Sullivan, Curator of the DeWitt Collection, University of Hartford, dated October 27, 1980, and a private appraisal of a later date by a third party.
Condition: Rough edges, some nickel residue at 10 am, and to shank point of solder. Surface scratches.
