George Nelson (American, 1908 1986) Associates for Herman Miller. Basic cabinet, model 4935. Four drawers and a single side door. Burnt orange lacquer to door fronts. Sculptural stainless steel pulls to drawer and door fronts.
Applied sticker to interior of chest, right hand side of upper drawer: facsimile George Nelson signature in red design, herman-miller zeeland-michigan. Label stapled to bench: The Herman Miller Furniture Co. Zeeland, Michigan, To: D. Capp/3 Peter Cooper Rd./Apt. 9 NY 06358 641. in graphite.

Condition: Legs lacking. Some losses to veneer, particularly to lower side rear panels and top panel corners in rear. 1/2 L. x 3/8 W. loss of veneer, top left hand rear. Handles patinated, rusty. Overall surface wear and scratches. Please request more photos to clarify areas of damage.
