Notes: Francois Ducharne was a notable producer of printed heavy silk fabrics in the pre- World War II period, a time where cooperative ventures between fabric houses and artists such as Raoul Dufy were not unusual. Pre World War II, Michel Dubost was Ducharnes most oft-utilized fabric designer. Dubost and Ducharne split after the War, and it is not know who produced the houses fabrics then. Examples by Ducharne are rare, but examples of the house are in collections at the Victoria Albert Museum, London, and Costume Institute, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
