Circa 1890 - 1920.
Each moulded with scalloped borders, with elaborate etched rouletted and painted gilt and silvered gilt borders, on rims of varied hues, framing well painted busts of women to the centers, and signed by various artists including Wagner. The portraits of :Innocence by Wagner and Goldhaubschen by F. Tenne Konigen Louise, by Jetzehe, Elisabeth, painted by Torberger. Portraits of Grafin Potocha, Tul. Adel. Recamier, Lebrun Lebrunn Selfportrait and Princess de Lamballe Rioult, painted by Lamm, The portrait of Goldhaubschen in elaborate giltwood scrolling frame.
The Wagner plate with underglaze blue beehive mark and Germany in black script, with a printed red ovular retailers mark for Budapest. The framed example with undeglaze blue behive and black script Austria. The remaining plates with blue Lamm marks.
Approximate dimensions: 9 1/2 Diameters the framed example 4 H. x 18 Diameter.
The overall condition of the plates is very good, with minimal scratching, wear and losses to gilding. Very minor patination to gilding. Please note that some of the plates have minor dimpling to surfaces, as manufactured. The giltwood frame has minor cracking and some losses to scrolls.
