Chinese Export Porcelain Armorial Tureen

Mid - 19th Century.
The tureen of squat ovular shape, with twig handles to sides, and with gilt foliate knop to top. The stand of conforming shape. The tureen and stand painted with orange banded rims, with scattered puce, iron red, brown and blue rose sprays and sprigs the sides of top, body and the center of the stand painted with elaborate crest featuring paired lions rampant, with banderole, AUSPICIO. REGIS. ET. SENATUS. ANGLIAE. Together with a leaf shaped dish, painted with deep red band over serpent and star border, enclosing puce and green floral sprays, centering a crested shield with a rampant horse on blue ground.
Approximate dimensions: 9 H. x 11 W. x 7 5/8 D. the tureen. The stand: 1 1/2 H. x 11 1/2 W. x 9 1/4 W. The leaf dish: 1 3/8 H. x 7 3/4 W. x 6 D..
Condition: Overall condition is very good. Wear to gilding to knop and throughout the platter outer band, Minor pitting. The tureen body and cover have some wax residue. Minor flaking to enamels, scratches to surfaces, losses to gilding.
