Modelled seated on the eponymous sofa made famous by the painting of Madame Recamier, by Jacques Louis David of 1800. Painted in polychrome enamels and with gilt highlights, modelled on a flat cylindrial ovular base.
Underglaze blue crown and L marks. Incised 4708.
