Oil on canvas.
30 x 20 inches Frame: 42 1/4 x 32 inches.
Bears signature and date lower right: Straus 1880.
CONDITION: In overall good condition, when examined under black light there are areas of restoration and in painting. In the sky in between the mountain peaks towards the top of the canvas and in the bottom right quadrant in the wood stack. The canvas has been relined and partially scrubbed, there looks to be some crushed impasto in the sides of the mountains and throughout the trees. Pressure cracking throughout the sky. The frame is fragile and has been repaired in several places, especially in the corners.
