The rounded bowl and flaring stand cut with hobstas and diamond points under scalloped dogtooth rim. The stand upper ring cut diagonally. Attributed to Libbey.
Approximate dimensions: The bowl 8 H. x 13 Diameter. 14 H. x 13 Diameter, on stand.
Provenance: Gifted by Theodore Edward Thal (1899-1978), OSU graduate and American Brilliant Cut Glass collector. Mr. Thal was an inventor and innovator in the fiberglass business.
Condition: the inner ring, foot of bowl, has been shaved so that the round foot is lightly lopsided. Light series of shallow nicks to ring of stand. Minor scratching and rubbing to bowl underside from contact with stand ring..
