A Chinese Yellow Ground Green Glazed Bottle Vase

The vase is well-potted, featuring a tapering globular body raised on a short straight foot that leads to a tapering neck with a lipped rim. The body is glazed in a brownish tone and outlined with a bright underglaze green color. It is decorated with stylized lotus flowers and scrolling foliage. A band of lotus foliage is depicted on the foot rim. The vase bears a six-character mark in underglazed blue below the mouth rim.
Height 7 1/4 inches (18.4 cm).
Condition: Wear and glaze crackles.
