A Chinese Rare Doucai Anhua Decorated Dish

The shallow is well painted in underglaze blue outline, iron red, and green enamels with a trefoil blooming from a slender leafy stem within double line borders. It also has alternating pairs of dragons and phoenixes incised into the fabric below another double line border at the rim. The trefoil pattern is repeated on the exterior walls between bands of classic scrolls and overlapping petals with triple stamens. The recessed base bears the six-character apocryphal Chenghua mark in standard script inscribed within a double ring in underglaze blue.
